The health office is open to students, parents and staff every Monday through Friday from 8:30 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. during the regular school year.
A variety of Health services are offered to the Franklin Middle school students.
Any deviations from normal of any school health screenings will receive a follow up call or referral letter from Mrs.Weil.
Mrs. Weil also provides first aid and care for children who are ill. You will be notified if there is need to take your child for any follow up medical care, or to be taken home for the day due to illness or injury.
Please keep all emergency contact information current and on file in the school health office. It is of extreme importance that you fill in all information on the green emergency card brought home by students at the beginning of the year and update the information as changes occur.
Please send in a complete change of clothing for your child to keep in his/her locker. Include underwear and outer wear to be used in case of emergency ,or need for a change during the school day.

Required for all 7th Graders ... New York State requires all 7th grade students have physical and dental exams, and have their BMI, or "Body Mass Index," recorded by the school nurse. Forms and information about this were sent home with this year's sixth graders in April. Please contact the Franklin Middle School Health office or see the HEALTH OFFICE web pages here if you have questions.
***NEW FOR SEPTEMBER 2016***: All 6th graders going into 7th grade in the Fall 2016, will need to receive a meningitis vaccine. Please contact your health care provider to see if your child has had this, or if you need to make an appointment to receive one. www.reyessyndrome.org do not give your child any medication containing aspirin products. Please open the reyes syndrome website link to get a list of medications containing aspirin product. Always purchase non aspirin products to give to your child after consulting with your health care provider.

School supply list: Please purchase a separate set of head phones for your child to use in the computer room and music class. These can be purchased for $1.00 at the local dollar stores. These will be used only for your child and helps stop the spread of headlice and other diseases.
