Three Kenmore East, Kenmore West Students Win High Honors at Daemen College Art Exhibition

Three Ken-Ton high school art students won high honors and significant scholarship awards at the 49th annual All High Exhibition sponsored by the Daemen College Department for the Visual and Performing Arts.
- From Kenmore East High School, John Graber, a student of art teacher and district art coordinator Denise Carr, won “Best In Show,” which earned him a $3,000-per-year scholarship to Daemen College.
- Also from Kenmore East High School, Siana Parks, a student of art teacher Matt Sagurney, won “Best Illustration,” earning a $2,000-per-year scholarship.
- From Kenmore West High School, Eita Nando, a student of art teacher Amy Veltri, won “Best New Media,” also earning a $2,000-per-year scholarship.
The All High Exhibition opened February 4 in the Tower Gallery of the Haberman Gacioch Art Center. This juried competition was open to all high school juniors and seniors enrolled in secondary art programs throughout the Western New York region. The exhibition will be on display in the Tower Gallery until Friday, February 23. Entries were submitted by the students’ art teachers and had to be work completed during the 2017-18 school year.
