It's a great day to be at Big Picture!

The Kenmore-Tonawanda UFSD is a member of the international Big Picture Learning network. Our students are members of small learning communities called advisories. Every grade has an advisor that students are grouped with to closely support their individual growth and interests. Each student develops a personal learning plan that identifies potential areas of interest and is personalized to their learning.

Our students participate in core content classes three days per week and also learn in a real-world setting through internships two days per week. The internships provide valuable learning experiences for our students and help to identify avenues for students to pursue as a long term career.

We encourage our families to be actively involved in the learning process.  The Big Picture Learning model ensures that students are prepared for college and beyond

  • “Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and Determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “Press On” has solved and will always solve the problems of the human race."
